Unspoilt, idyllic just 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly are made for walking. The islands enjoy a unique climate, warmed by the Gulf Stream but also cooled by winter sea-breezes.

Nature flourishes here in many different ways, from the subtropical beauty of Tresco’s famous gardens to the wild and untamed landscapes of Bryher, St Agnes and Gugh. Walking is by far the best way to explore them. With miles of coastal paths, nature trails, fields, woodland, beaches and panoramic views every way you turn, it’s easy to walk round an island in a day. Sounds idyllic? It really is.

Scilly is a walkers’ paradise. While you’re walking you’ll come across an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna, photo opportunities, shops and honesty stalls, picnic stops and more. Incredibly beautiful as the Isles of Scilly are, it’s the people who live on the islands year-round that make the visitor’s experience so memorable.

The islanders have a love of nature, a love of the sea, of wild food and windswept walks; they share the unique view of life that being an islander brings. The islands are shaped by the people, but the people are shaped by the islands; just as your experience of visiting these islands will affect you.
