Why not turn your Sunday walk into a fundraiser by signing up for an MS Walk near you? Join us at a family-friendly and accessible walk in Manchester, Bristol, London, Belfast or Cardiff and walk, roll or stroll to stop MS. With 1, 5, 10 and 20km routes to choose from and fun activities along the way, there is something for everyone.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a condition that affects the brain and spinal cord with more than 130,000 people in the UK living with MS. MS can affect how you see, move, think or feel.

We’ve got a plan to stop MS for good, and we need you on our team. The money you raise will go to our ground-breaking Stop MS Appeal which is aiming to raise £100 million to fund life-changing MS research.

Here are just a few reasons why you should sign up for an MS Walk.

1. Get the kids involved in a family-friendly and accessible walk

Are you struggling for ideas to keep the kids busy at the weekend? Why not take part in an MS Walk and get them out of the house for a few hours!

The four different routes will show you a different side of each fantastic city and fun facts and quiz questions will keep the kids occupied along the way.

2. You’ll be raising life-changing funds for MS research

What has an octopus got to do with stopping MS? Ok, not an actual octopus, but we've got your attention now.

Despite the pandemic, your support has enabled us to power on full steam ahead with plans for our ‘mega-trial’ for progressive MS, which is called Octopus.

Ultimately, Octopus is a way to speed up finding treatments that will slow or stop MS progression. This is an incredibly exciting moment for MS research and we need you with us every step of the way.

3. Be part of the MS community

Everyone has their own special reason for taking part. Zach was diagnosed with MS in February 2019, at just 19 years old. Later that year he took part in his first MS Walk in London.

Meeting others in the MS community was one of the best bits of the day for him. "MS Walk was great as it brought together both people who were affected physically by MS, and family and friends who all had the same idea of raising money and awareness for the condition.

I enjoyed seeing the 'sea' of orange t-shirts all walking together, all with the same intention and common goal."

4. Explore more of your city

Not only will you take in the famous sights and iconic landmarks found in Manchester, Bristol, London, Belfast and Cardiff, you’ll also discover the hidden alleys and quiet walkways less travelled.

5. Get active and challenge yourself

With 1, 5, 10 and 20km routes to choose from, whatever your ability, there’s an MS Walk route for you.

Whether you want a casual stroll around the city centre, an accessible route to help improve your fitness or a more challenging 20km walk, we’ve got you covered.

Feeling a little nervous? Don’t worry our MS Walk will have a range of measures in place to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers and staff. Everyone will be assigned to different start waves, encouraged to use the hand sanitiser provided, and wear face masks to make sure everyone can have fun and feel safe.

Whichever route you do, you’ll be helping change the lives of people affected by MS - now and in the future. Register yourself or a team, and start fundraising today.
