Inspired by epic adventures at every altitude, Sea to Summit is all about the pure joys of fresh air, fresh challenges and fresh thinking. From the loftiest Himalayan peaks to the coastal wildernesses of south-west Tasmania, and everywhere in-between, the Australian brand’s products have been used (quite literally) from sea to summit.

Known for a “relentless pursuit of design perfection”, the brand was founded by Aussie backpacking enthusiast Roland Tyson, who started making outdoor gear on an industrial sewing machine, aged just 17. Fed up with the poor performance from other brands, he believed he could make better, lighter and more durable gear.

Sea to Summit was born and, well, the rest is history. Almost 35 years later, Sea to Summit has grown into a well-respected, successful global brand with top-selling lines of tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, dry bags, packing cubes and much more.

And new for 2025, Sea to Summit has launched its new Revive range of sleeping bags and mats. The eco-friendly range is the sleep system with the “smallest environmental footprint” in Sea to Summit’s illustrious history.

The new products are confidently billed as “not simply a revision to the way outdoor products have been made in the past; they are a blueprint for how gear will be made in the future”.

The Revive range features two new synthetic sleeping bags (the Boab and Hamelin) and two new sleeping mats (the Pursuit and Pursuit Plus).

The bluesign-approved Boab and Hamelin have been engineered to give you a great night's sleep while keeping the environmental footprint as small as possible, courtesy of the use of recycled polyester shell and liner fabrics and 100% recycled polyester insulation, as well as the strict avoidance of harmful PFC chemicals.

Meanwhile, the Pursuit and Pursuit Plus mats are the first-ever self-inflating sleeping mats to utilise solution-dyed, RCS-certified recycled, bluesign-approved fabrics.

A key aspect of the Pursuit mats’ environmental footprint reduction comes from solution dying. This is where dye is added to the polymer before the fibre is extruded, rather than adding dye to the finished fabric. This saves a huge amount of water and energy, and results in far lower emissions.

With its roomy design and comfort-orientated features, the Boab is perfect for campers and vehicle-based adventures. Its generous, gender-neutral cut offers plenty of room to move for those who find mummy bags constrictive.

The 100% RCS certified, post-consumer recycled, multi-denier polyester insulation will keep you warm and the offset design avoids cold spots. For warmer nights the double sliders mean the zip can be opened in either direction for ventilation or even opened flat as a quilt.

Available in short, regular, regular wide and long versions, as well as -1°C and -9°C warmth options, there is a Boab sleeping bag for every camping situation.

The Hamelin is a backpack-capable sleeping bag with a higher level of comfort than traditional mummy bags. For a few extra grams and larger packed size, the Hamelin brings the benefits of synthetic insulation, which is perfect for the UK’s wet weather.

Designed for comfort and performance, the relaxed mummy fit offers plenty of room to move. The full-length side zipper extends throughout the footbox, along with a half-length zipper on the opposite side, thus providing ventilation and versatility.

Options include -1°C and -9°C temperature ratings, as well as regular and long lengths.

The Pursuit mats are the first-ever self-inflating sleeping mats to utilise solution-dyed, RCS-certified recycled, bluesign approved fabrics. Designed for those who prioritise weight and packed volume but who prefer simple SI construction over more complex air sleeping pads.

Using recycled materials and cutting-edge manufacturing, Sea to Summit has made these mats with the least environmental footprint possible. Size options include regular, large, rectangular regular and rectangular large.

The Pursuit Plus is made with the same environmental focus as the Pursuit, but with added warmth and comfort built in. Intended for comfort-focused backpackers, adventurers or weekend warriors who demand enhanced comfort, and who prefer a self-inflating over an air mat.

With an R-Value of 4.2 and a 7.5cm thickness, this is a warm and comfortable sleeping mat while not being too bulky to carry. Delta Coring removes over 40% of the foam to reduce weight and bulk, without compromising durability. Size options include regular, large, rectangular regular and rectangular large.
