Half-price OS maps for magazine subscribers

OS Maps is the online and mobile routes service from the Ordnance Survey – and this page describes how subscribers to Trail and Country Walking magazines can claim 12 months of half-price OS Maps.

What do I get with an OS Maps subscription?

BRING ROUTES TO LIFE IN 3D: Explore anywhere in Britain on your computer with the OS Maps Aerial 3D layer. Fly through routes before you walk them to get a good understanding of the terrain.

PRINT MAPS AS BACK-UP: Print out your own custom routes and maps, so even if your tech fails you’re never stuck without a map. You can choose the scale, orientation and size that suits you.

MOUNTAIN RESCUE ENDORSEMENT: OS Maps is the only navigation app officially recommended by Mountain Rescue – and has been made available to all 47 local volunteer teams in England and Wales.

I'm a magazine subscriber – how do I activate my half-price OS Maps?

Step 1: Check your emails for your subscription confirmation message or retrieve the carrier sheet that comes with your magazine each month. Your subscriber number is the long number in the top left of the box with your address details. This is your unique subscriber number: you can't access the next step without it. Can't find your subscriber number? Call or email our subscription team at 01858 438 884 / bauer@subscription.co.uk who will be happy to help you.

Step 2: Got your number? Email oscodes@bauermedia.co.ukconfirming your name, address, and subscriber number.

Step 3: You will be emailed a unique discount code. IMPORTANT: Once you have your code make a note of it and do not lose it! You will need it for the next step! Now it's time to head to OS Maps.

Step 4: Click THIS LINK. This will take you to the Premium Annual Subscription £34.99 option. Over the next couple of pages you'll fill in your details until you reach checkout.

Step 5: At which point (above) you tap in your unique code from step 4, hit the 'Update Total' button, complete your discounted transaction, and away you go!

I'm already an OS Maps subscriber – can I still get the offer?

Don't worry! You can extend your OS Maps subscription by a year with the discounted 50% offer by following these steps:

Step 1: Get your discount code by following steps 1-3 above, then click THIS LINK

Step 2: Add the 12-month subscription to your basket and proceed to checkout.

Step 3: Before reaching the checkout, you’ll be asked to log into your existing OS account (if you aren't already logged in). Enter your details and log in, then click ‘Add a discount code’ to enter your code (make sure you’ve added the £34.99 product to your bag). Once entered, click ‘add code’ and your order total will update with the discounted price. Simply complete your transaction to apply the discounted price to your extended subscription.

Step 4: When you’ve done that, head to: osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk where your renewal date for Premium features will have extended by 12 months.
